Discover how cooking has evolved throughout history in our Centre

The Culinary Interpretation Centre of Catalonia

The Culinary Interpretation Centre of Catalonia will allow you to discover how cuisine has evolved over history and how tourism has evolved in Empordanet through two multimedia presentations. All that you need to know about culinary campaigns, recipes, markets, and more through touchscreens as well as the main products of Catalonia with their explanations.

The centre has the same opening hours to the public as the Palafrugell tourism office, which you can consult at the bottom of the website.

Kids’ workshops for primary school students:

From October to February, the tourism office offers two types of free workshops for the schools in the morning.

  • Playing tourist: a 1-hour workshop which explains the importance and evolution of tourism in our region, with a visit which ends with a hands-on activity in the tourism office.

  • Kitchen alchemists: a 1-hour workshop which explains the evolution of cuisine in our region followed by making a vinaigrette to discover the alchemical transformation of essential ingredients first hand.

If you are a group or a school and you want to take a guided visit or organise a school workshop, you can request information and make an appointment at turisme@palafrugell.cat
