Wheelchair accessible itinerary in Palafrugell

We suggest a route to go through the historic center of Palafrugell avoiding architectural barriers

WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE ITINERARY IN PALAFRUGELL

If you want to visit the historic centre of Palafrugell in a wheelchair, you can follow the following itinerary. You can get by car to the public parking at Carrer d’Anselm Clavé (free all year except for July and August) where there are several spots for reduced mobility.
From here, take the passage to join Carrer de les Quatre Casas. After crossing Carrer de la Caritat, all the area is pedestrian. Once at Carrer de Cavallers, follow it to Plaça Nova, the neuralgic centre of Palafrugell. Very close from there you can find the accessible public toilets from the library and the theatre.
Afterwards you can take Carrer Pi i Margall up, where every morning (except for Mondays) there’s the daily market. Once passed the market, follow the same street till you fin Placeta del Museu on you right. There you have the entry to the Cork Museum, which is also accessible. At the same square there’s the Contemporary Sculpture Can Mario Museum, from Vila Casas Foundation, and a modernist water tank that used to supply the water to the former cork factory located at the same place.
Then, you should take down the same Carrer Pi i Margall till you reach Carrer dels Valls on your right, which you should follow to arrive to Plaça del Priorat de Santa Anna, the square next to the church. Once in front of the church, go down towards Carrer Cavallers for a promenade between shops, or take Carrer Major to stroll around the narrow streets of the old town.
The way back to the parking can be made taking again Carrer de les Quatre Cases.
