Mad Market and Arts Fair

Every first Saturday in September throughout the day we can find one of the most original markets in our surrounding on Cypsela promenade in Llafranc: the Mercat Boig. The name, which literally translates to “Mad Market”, says it all: you can find and sell anything you want there and at any price.

Alongside the market is the Arts Fair where antiques-dealers, second-hand sellers, painters, and sculptors exhibit their works, furniture, paintings, jewels, and more. They’re all laid out to be admired and appraised on this day.

As always, kids will have their own space. A children’s fair where you will find home-made sweets, kids jewellery, painted rocks, charismatic drawings, and toys, among others. You can find all this and more on a day that goes from sun up to sunset.
