Our town's highest and most iconic point to enjoy marvellous views
By heading out of the town of Palafrugell, in the direction of Tamariu, accompanied by a greenway that also leads you to the beach, you’ll find the crossroads that will lead you to the Top of Mount Sant Sebastià.
When you get there, to the right you will find the Joaquim Turró overlook with spectacular views. On clear days you can see the coast down to the Aro Beach and the Pyrenees mountains. To the left, you will find the majestic lighthouse, inaugurated on 1 October 1857. Its light reaches up to 32 nautical miles, making it the most powerful lighthouse on the Catalan coast, located 169 metres above sea level.
The highest and most iconic point of our town offers fantastic views. From the coastal overlook at the lighthouse you can see the bay of Llafranc, with the coves of Calella, Cap Roig, and Palamós in the background. Go to the other side of the cliff, and from the hotel’s balcony you can see the horizon and see that the world is in fact round. Go down the Romaboira cliff, impressive for its height (if you’re curious, ask for more details about this place).
It forms part of the Sant Sebastià de la Guarda Monument Park, where you can visit:
