From the so-called Little Venice in the south, to the yacht harbour in the north, Llafranc Bay is one of the most prestigious on the Costa Brava.
From the 1950s, Llafranc stopped being a fishing village and started to receive Hollywood stars and dancers from the world of flamenco, as well as international tourists looking for a “typically Spanish” experience. All of Llafranc’s visitors enjoyed the beaches and the nighttime parties organised by Manel Bisbe (the Gypsy from Llafranc) and Tomás Cervera.
Llafranc’s beach and remodelled seafront promenade are still popular tourist destinations, attracting thousands of tourists and summer visitors every year.
Llafranc’s tourist information office opened to the public in 1984, at the same time as those in Sauleda, Palafrugell and Tamariu. It offers information to visitors from Easter week until the middle of October.
