Start: els Canyers beach / Sant Roc
Finish: els Tres Pins (Tower point)
Distance: 1,350 m
Length: approximately 35 minutes
Type of path: a coastal route with some sections of stairs and streets of Calella.
Route description: a path going around the coast and passing the most emblematic points of Calella.
Points of interest: hotel Sant Roc viewpoint, les Voltes, sa Perola (tourist office), M. Juanola viewpoint (la Casa Rosa), all of the coves along the route. * Outside the section: Calella church.
From els Canyers beach we follow the seafront to the en Caixa baths and the Port Pelegrí. Then comes the els Burricaires point, where we have a magnificent viewpoint and la Platgeta.
We follow this more urban route in Calella along the seafront which forms part of the GR-92 and we come to en Calau beach. One cove comes after another until we reach Port Bo, very well known for its vaults and the ‘Habaneras’ singing in Calella on the first Saturday in July. Just behind there is Sa Perola, an ancient fishermen’s premises, of which the original appearance has been maintained. Today it is the tourist office.
We immediately come to es Còdol, a series of rocks separating Port Bo beach from Malaespina port, now a symbol of Calella.
We will find a quay under can Jaume Gil and go on to the Primitiu Guri viewpoint. Following the sea, we cross the casa Rosa (can Genís) terrace, with right of way, to reach el Canadell beach. In this bathing area, very well-known for its caves, we find el Canadell esplanade. Under Can Jubert and el Canyissos (or under can Comes) there are little corners much loved by winter bathers, which lead us to a section of steps to Tres Pins, where we find the hotel la Torre, with the Calella watchtower built in 1597 to control the pirate attacks of the time, and from where the coastal path continues towards Llafranc.
Recommendations: follow the sea path, do not walk the path in stormy weather, wear comfortable footwear and take water with you.
