The Spring Festivals are possibly one of the most deep-rooted and traditional festivities in Palafrugell. This celebration started with the prohibition of carnival in 1963, and has become quite an event for Palafrugell, involving all of the population in different activities. Possibly the best known is the Carrousel Costa Brava in which floats and processions from the local area and around Catalonia come to give their support.
